Save yourself the hassle because I went through the experience for you. The company had first estimated our move to be $3800, and made us put a $1500 down deposit(which wasn’t accounted for). Then upon arrival to load our stuff, they had said the price has adjusted to $6800 and we owed another 4k before they load anything into the vehicle. Which was fine I understood that the $3800 was just an estimate and we probably had more then expected, but then when the company came to dropping our stuff off, they held it hostage until we gave them another 2k. I had called the company to go over details and discuss the invoices we had agreed upon, and the extra 2k was not apart of it. The company then told me they’ll call me back that same day and I haven’t heard from them, costing me another 1k because the movers had to leave and come back the next day. I had called the company again and spoke with a representative who wasn’t willing to listen, told me to “stfu” and hung up on me(which I have on video). Very unprofessional and scandalous.

Moving across state lines is such a big move. Steven at Pack and Ship Movers went above and beyond to make sure our move from Orlando to Georgia went smoothly and we could not have asked for a better experience. Our movers arrived on time, we’re very professional, and not one of our belongings were damaged in the process. I highly recommend this company to anyone that is relocating. Should we move again I will certainly be using their services! I can’t thank you enough for all of your help!

Would give zero stars if I could. You quoted us 12/4 delivery and it’s now 12/27. Where is our stuff? You have had our stuff since November. We have called numerous times and either get disconnected or told we will be called back. Nobody has called us. This company is a nightmare, save yourself the stress and money and rent a Uhaul. We are already out $6k and will probably never get our furniture. If they do deliver our stuff the price will be at least $2k more then their original moving quote and they didn’t even take all our items.

This company rates poorly in many categories. I was charged $500 extra to get the day i had requested a month prior when I booked. Surprise! Then at pick up the mover said it would be another $5k over my existing estimate. No itemization of charges was provided. Upon leaving,

one of the movers stood with his hand out and said “ gratuity” three times . He was not happy when I told him I did not have any cash.

The moving coordinator was unable to give me any detailed information about the additional charges or any updates of expected arrival date. All in all,this was a stressful experience. I am writing this detailed review to hopefully give potential customers information for an informed decision . DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

THE WORST NIGHTMARE!!! NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!

I hope this review helps other people to never go through what they have done to me. I contacted several moving companies 2 months before my moving date, Anthony was the first one calling me and mention that they would give me a special discount and went over everything with extreme confidence, so made me feel like it was a serious company. I hired them a week after I talked to him and left a deposit of 40% the total estimate. He mentioned they would contact me again the week before my moving date again to arrange the details. One week before my moving date Anthony called me and after going over some details he said..."oh by the way, I don't want you to have any surprises, but remember the discount that I applied in the beginning? It was a mistake and is no longer valid, you'll need to pay more, but don't worry, it won't be thousands of dollars"...... When I ask how much he couldn't answer my question. I got extremely upset, and asked my deposit back, and that if he wanted new terms we could negotiate under the new terms once I got my deposit back. He finally told me they would keep the same terms, but guess what? THREE DAYS BEFORE MY MOVING DATE I still didn't know which day they would come, and after calling them several times and after Anthony told me several times that I didn't have to worry about anything, he called me by the end of the day and says that the service was cancelled because he gave me a cheap price and it was a very busy time of the year for them. I hope no one else has to go through this again, I find this absolutely ridiculous, unprofessional, disrespectful, AND I STILL DONT HAVE MY MONEY BACK. Don't let this guy trick you because he makes you feel very confident and makes promises non-stop that he can't keep. THEY ARE LIARS!!!!

I contracted pack and ship movers a month ago for a last minute move out of New York when another company let me, down by simply not picking me up .I was an emotional wreck, Anthony Smith answered the phone calmed me down and walked me through the process. They got me a truck in two days and literally saved my life I had a new job and couldn't afford to not be in Washington .Having said that the price was a little bit higher than I payed the scam company but that makes sense because they were scammers and where never going to move me anyway .The movers were respectful ,and careful with my belongings .I must admit I did have to pay an additional 85.00 on pickup ,totally my fault I had more boxes than I stated in my inventory .All in all it was a semi rewarding experience .The reason for my 1 star rating was the lady in customer service was a bit nasty ,but I would call Anthony and he always sorted out any issue I would have .I know that I can be a very difficult person to work with at times .I am an artist and as such I am accustomed to wanting things a certain way. When the movers were staging my house I repeatedly explained to them that I wanted all my living room belongings facing the eastern provision of my home .They seemed not to understand what this means, There not interior designers I get that but c,mon how hard is is it ,after a while I just got tired ,accepted the fact that they had no clue what I was talking about I just let them leave things where they where. One of the movers refused to take his mask of which made me a little uncomfortable at the end of the day I have no idea who these people are and I wanted to at least be able to see there faces, when I asked them to please remove the mask because it made me uncomfortable he told me that he did not want to get covid .I was a bit offended by that .Perhaps I am a bit oversensitive but I maintained a safe distance from them and actually wore gloves the whole time they were in the house .They also smelled very bad I think that they should reapply deodorant before entering a clients home so as not be offensive .I realize that there job is hard but the smell lingered for quite a while .I had to use a whole can of febreeze to refresh my living area . The Movers often looked at me like I was crazy and that scared me a bit and they were also very quiet which made me think that maybe they were plotting against me .Its true that maybe I suffer from a little parranoia but I paid for a job to get done and I just want things done a certain way .Half way through the job I called Anthony my Moving Coordinator, he reassured me that I had nothing to worry about and that I should just let them finish unloading the truck . I told Anthony that he should have been a therapist and not a moving coordinator . He told me that movers are good at physical labor and some are not the smartest guys in the world he was right . The truth is I have never used a Long Distance moving company before ,normally I just take a few bags of personal belonging and establish myself anew in any country or state that I move to . The movers never asked me for a tip ,so that was good and I did give them some gift cards that I had received from a former employer ,they seemed pretty happy about that. Im posting this review to tell people that are thinking about using a moving company that you should always have mid expectations of the movers .The most important factor is your moving coordinator . The coordinator I had did a phenomenal job I only wish he could have been in the house with me but lets face it that's wishful thinking .

On August 17th 2022 I hired pack and ship movers to perform my move from California to Texas the movers showed up a few minutes late which is expected but they did immediately get to work I have moved several times in my life so I know what to expect with moving companies I would say they did a good job and the price I got on my estimate was exactly what I paid I did have to wait for them to load the truck and come back with another truck as my move was larger than I think they expected this was what they call a premium White glove move so the movers did pack everything but they did leave packing materials all over the place packing peanuts packing blankets used to pack my pictures they were very sloppy I asked him if they wouldn't mind cleaning up and they said they would do it after and I did tip them so they did eventually clean up everything I would most certainly use them again but one thing I've learned about moving industry is that you should keep your expectations within reason the name of my moving coordinator was Justin McConnor and he was with me throughout the whole course of the move as he said he would overall it really wasn't a bad experience

They delivered my sectional after a 3 month wait and the delivery men ran out the door in seconds without allowing me to inspect. I called them immediately as there was a hole in the chaise cushion and many glue spots on another. The quality was nothing like what was in the showroom. They sent me an email and apologized and said I would get new covers sent right away but it has been a month and the store stopped answering the phone(I felt completely scammed for my money .)

There were 2 big issues:

1. Initial refusal to refund deposit under questionable circumstances

2. The moving cost jumping from $5,697.66 (final estimate) to roughly $9,800 once the movers arrived, due to what appears to be poor/inconsistent communication/inventory practices between those who take estimates over the phone and the movers.

First, we were initially denied our moving deposit because I requested it on the 4th business day -- 1 day over the refund policy. The issue here is that I tried to contact my sales rep, Howard K., and customer service on the 3rd day to provide an updated inventory list and receive the updated estimate/quote. No one from customer service called us back (I left a voicemail). I called Howard and texted him the updated list. He said he wasn't available and that he’d call me back the next day. Howard was apparently off work the next day, so Justin M. form quality assurance took the call instead.

After learning I couldn’t get my deposit back and talking with Justin, I decided to continue with the service -- even though the estimate jumped from $3,697.66 to $5,697.66. To make sure we weren’t met with another price increase when the movers arrived, I made sure to do a meticulous inventory with Justin. He assured me that he didn’t anticipate a price increase.

However, once the movers arrived on Nov. 30th, they started pointing out things on their inventory list that didn’t match ours.

- For example, they only showed that we counted our futon cushion and not the frame – we ran into this issue when we got our initial quote from Howard and updated the new inventory list with Justin to include both mattress and frame. But the movers did not show the same inventory.

- Another example: the day before the movers arrived, I spoke with Jeremy from dispatch to verify that plastic tubs would be acceptable under our “20 boxes” quote. He said yes. The movers arrived and said that these boxes were not on their list – their list showed that we were put down for “20 medium boxes.” At no point was box size brought up to me—not verbally nor in writing. And I had asked Jeremy specifically if box size mattered – he said no.

- Also, when I updated the inventory list with Justin M, we included a large arching lamp. This was also not on the movers list.

- The movers also claimed that we hadn’t specified our dresser size. Again, this was not brought up with Justin nor Howard during our inventory discussion.

- Lastly, when I brought up miscellaneous items with Justin and Howard, they assured me that they wouldn’t take up much space, so we didn’t need to take a detailed inventory of each item. The movers said the miscellaneous items weren’t on the list, which further contributed to price increase.

Movers arrived two hours later then scheduled time range further pushing the time of our move, and availability of alternative options.

As stated in contract if price of move changes at time of pick up please contact customer service. However, Jeremy with dispatch discourage me from reaching out to customer service and started that if I did the movers would leave and move date would have to be rescheduled, if I failed to agree to revised price. He also expressed frustration when I did reach out to customer service (spoke with Justin). During my call with Justin he assured me he would contact the movers and sort this out. However Jeremy, stated there was nothing customer service could d to change the estimate.

In sum, we did everything we could on our end to make our final estimate was the correct estimate. And after all the pains we took to ensure we were set, we ended up with a quote that was about $3,000 over. This put me and my fiancé in a very unfair position – pay an extra $3,000 or cancel the move, rent a Penske and do it ourselves. We chose the later, and it made our move that much more stress and headache than it needed to be.

To top it off, we were denied our $2,000 deposit.

Worst customer experience of my life.

So far we're at double the quote and it's taken twice as long. Broke the only thing I said not to during pickup. No one calls back once they have your money. You will be COMPLETELY AT THE MERCY OF PEOPLE WHO GIVE ZERO *****!!!

Do yourself a favor. Bite the bullet and rent a truck. Move yourself if you can.

I'm a little nervous about posting this. They'll be able to figure out who it was and I already chewed multiple people out over this the past week. My stuff still isn't here. It's the day they said it would be here now they're saying they'll call me in 3 or 4 days with an estimate arrival time. Like you have GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!

This business is a scam. They take your money then find someone to do the actual work at bottom dollar. I swear it's so blatant it has to be on purpose.

Move size: Studio Service cost: $4000

Bait & Switch Scam. This company is a broker -- not a moving company. You'll get a lowball quote from a salesperson and be required to pay a deposit based on that quote. Later a "manager" will call to "improve the inventory" (jack up the price). On moving day, some unknown moving company will arrive and DOUBLE the price demanding half in cash to proceed. Moved from California to DC. $12k orig quote. $18k revised weeks later. $34k on moving day.
